Burst Water Flosser Review

Burst Water Flosser Box

Our Verdict

The Burst cordless water flosser really is one of the best options available today.  It definitely challenges the market leading brand, Waterpik.

It looks smart and is available in a few different color options.

With 3 different modes on offer you can find the right pressure setting, to suit you.

The battery life is excellent and the provided USB charger is very convenient.

Unfortunately, the capacity of the water tank is quite small at 110ml. The turbo mode will drain the tank in as little as 20 seconds.  This might not be enough time for you to complete the thorough clean.

Pros

  • Design
  • 3 pressure/mode settings
  • Interchangeable tips
  • Battery life
  • USB charging
  • Subscription

Cons

  • Water tank capacity
  • Water tank door
  • Messy
  • Price

Waterpik Cordless Advanced WP-560 Review

Waterpik Cordless Advanced

Our Verdict

The best cordless water flosser available.

It isn’t the cheapest.  But, it is made by a leading brand that invests in clinical research.

It is stylish, comfortable to hold in hand and really easy to use.

The 207ml tank is just large enough to offer a thorough flossing session.  There are 3 different pressure settings to choose from.

I am very pleased with the cleaning results.

The magnetic charger is a really convenient hassle free approach.

The included travel pouch and accessories are welcomed extras.

Pros

  • Cordless – not restricted by wires
  • Excellent cleaning performance
  • Easy to rotate the nozzle for easier control
  • Grippy handle
  • 3 pressure settings
  • Easy to attach magnetic charger
  • Different color options available
  • Travel pouch included in the box
  • American Dental Association (ADA) approved

Waterpik Cordless Freedom Water Flosser WF-03 Review

Waterpik Cordless Freedom Water Flosser WF-03 Review 2

Our Verdict

The WF-03 Cordless Freedom for Waterpik, does exactly what it was designed to do and offers a good clean of the interdental spaces.

The lack of a rotating nozzle is too potentially an issue for some.

The small water tank doesn’t allow for a long flossing time, but this is a problem shared by the vast majority of cordless options.

The Waterpik Cordless Advanced is a better cordless option, but it doesn’t benefit from the removable AA batteries like the Cordless Freedom.

Pros

  • Cordless – not restricted by wires
  • Excellent cleaning performance
  • 2 pressure settings
  • Grippy handle
  • American Dental Association (ADA) approved

Cons

  • No battery status feedback
  • No rotating nozzle to give extra control
  • Quite bulky in hand

Waterpik Cordless Select Review

Waterpik Cordless Select

Our Verdict

The Waterpik Cordless Select cleans between the teeth and along the gumline well.

I have found the cleaning results to be excellent.

You can get finite control from the easy to rotate nozzle. The 2 pressure settings give some degree of choice.

The minimal look of the unit is appealing, and I like the magnetic USB charging cable.

I find it harder and more awkward to hold than most other cordless flossers.

For me, this feels quite expensive. The more premium Cordless Advanced appears better value for money.

Pros

  • Cordless – not restricted by wires
  • Excellent cleaning performance
  • Easy to rotate the nozzle for greater control
  • 2 pressure settings
  • Easy to attach USB magnetic charging cable

Cons

  • Not as easy to grip & hold as some other models
  • Doesn’t remember the pressure/mode setting
  • It is quite bulky and isn’t ideally suited for travel
  • No travel pouch included
  • Better value options exist

Fairywill 5020E Water Flosser Review

Fairywill 5020E Water Flosser Review 12

We have recently stopped recommending Fairywill as a cheap alternative to products from better known brands.

This is due to direct reports we have received about the rate at which Fairywill products fail.

Further to this point, Fairywill products were removed from Amazon due to the company abusing the review system.

They were found to be offering free products in exchange for positive reviews, and offering replacements of broken products in exchange for positive reviews.

We have a news post here that covered this event when it first happened.

Fairywill products come with a 1 year warranty, which is less than the 2 years offered by leading brands such as Oral-B.

In our testing Fairywill products worked well for the period during which we tested them. However, we are unable to test all brushes for a long period of time, and the reports we have received suggest products have a good chance of failing within 6 to 12 months.

Should the situation around the reliability of Fairywill’s products change, we will reconsider this advice.

For now, we have still included the 5020E in our best cordless water flosser post so that we can explain the situation. Another alternative recommended in that post is the Panasonic EW-DJ10, which you can check out on Amazon or Ebay.

Our Verdict

The Fairywill 5020E is a strong performing and very good value water flosser.

It has a lot to offer, in particular the very large 10.5oz (300ml) water tank.  You can achieve a thorough flossing, without the need to refill.

The materials feel a little cheap in places and the charging port isn’t ideal. It has an easy to lose port cover.

But, the 3 pressure settings, long battery life and inclusion of 8 nozzles make this a great choice.

Pros

  • Cordless – not restricted by wires
  • A large water tank (300ml) means no more refilling to complete a session
  • Rechargeable built-in battery lasts up to 3 weeks
  • 3 pressure settings
  • 8 jet tips included in the box
  • Various color options available
  • Great value for money

Cons

  • It is quite bulky and isn’t ideally suited for travel
  • The materials feel a little cheap in places
  • The nozzle is difficult to rotate
  • Easy to lose charging port cover
  • No travel pouch included

Waterpik Aquarius WP-660 Review

Waterpik Aquarius WP-660 Review 14

  • Excellent cleaning performance
  • Choose between 10 different pressure settings
  • Various tips included for individual specific needs
  • Rotating nozzle for easier control
  • Stylish design & compact footprint
  • American Dental Association (ADA) approved

Cons

Hydro Floss Water Flosser Review

Hydro Floss Water Flosser

Our Verdict

Hydro Floss is a solid option if you are in the market for a water flosser.

The 800ml (27 fl oz) tank is one of the largest available on a water flosser today.

It does look a little dated.

It comes with a 1 year warranty only, and it is a little more expensive than other options.

It is functional.  It has what it needs and performs comparably with other options on the market today.

But, most will likely feel better served by the WP-660 Aquarius from Waterpik.

Pros

  • Cleans well & less hassle than floss
  • 9 pressure settings to choose from
  • 4 tips included
  • Specialist tips available
  • Large 800ml water tank for longer use
  • Rotating nozzle to help direct water flow
  • Cable storage for excess cable
  • Replacement parts easily sourced

Cons

  • Expensive – better value options exist
  • Dated design
  • Water stop button
  • Difficult to fill the tank fully
  • Messy when in use
  • Difficult to determine benefits of the magnetic charge
  • Only a 1 year warranty

Oral-B Water Flosser Advanced Review

Oral-B Oxyjet Nozzle Water Flosser Advanced

Our Verdict

The Oral-B Advanced ticks the basic boxes required for being a cordless water flosser.

However, whilst it does the job, it is far from the best option available today. I don’t believe it represents what Oral-B is capable of producing.

The overall design and quality isn’t perfect and it is expensive compared to the competition. Alternatives offer better value.

See our posts on the top rated cordless water flossers for more choice.

Pros

  • Cordless
  • Rechargeable
  • Different water streams

Cons

  • Build quality
  • Nozzle design and rotation
  • Button placement
  • Modes/intensity settings
  • No travel case
  • Chunky charging stand

Waterpik Complete Care WP-900 Review

Waterpik WP-900 Complete Care Review

Editor’s Note

The WP-900 has technically been replaced by Waterpik. You should consider the Complete Care 9.0 (view on Amazon) as a replacement.

Our Verdict

Wow, what a product.

The WP-900 Complete Care is a pretty fantastic solution.

Whilst there is room for improvement, I am splitting hairs and what you get here is quite simply brilliant for the price.

Pros

  • Large water tank
  • Choose between 10 different pressure settings
  • Various tips included for individual specific needs
  • Storage case included for tips
  • Sonic toothbrush included
  • Good value option

Cons

  • Takes up a fair amount of countertop space

Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser Review

Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser Review

Our Verdict

Despite being a touch bulky and quite loud when in operation, the benefits of using this water flosser outweigh the negatives.

Clinical studies show how effective it is and the American Dental Association have even given it their seal of approval.

If flossing is a chore that you simply hate doing and want an easier but effective solution, serious consideration should be made for the Waterpik Ultra.

But, do check the price on the newer WP-660 Aquarius, as this takes the edge.

Pros

  • Large water tank
  • Choose between 10 different pressure settings
  • Various tips included for individual specific needs
  • Storage case included for tips
  • American Dental Association (ADA) approved

Cons

  • Takes up a fair amount of countertop space

H2ofloss HF-8 Whisper Review

H2ofloss HF-8 Whisper Review

Our Verdict

Very closely matched in terms of features and performance to the market leader Waterpik, the HF-8 has surprised me at just how well it performs.

It is not perfect, there are some concerns over the build quality and there isn’t the trust and peace of mind that comes from the brand leader.

However, the price is a minimum of $20 less and that is without consideration for all the extra tips that come included.

The H2ofloss is a good value water flosser.

Pros

  • Large water tank
  • Pressure settings
  • Box contents
  • Tip storage
  • Price

Cons

  • Pressure settings
  • Noise

  • Messy
  • Effectiveness

Waterpik WP-360 Review

Waterpik WP-360 Review 16

Our Verdict

The fundamental principle of the WP-360 cordless water flosser is good.

The product works, but it is not great.

Build quality and reliability are so so and with a 1 year warranty does not match up to the 2 year warranty of other products.

The newer WP-650 is a much better buy.

Pros

  • Cordless – not restricted by wires
  • Excellent cleaning performance
  • Built-in rechargeable battery

Cons

  • It is quite bulky and isn’t ideally suited for travel
  • Small tank limits flossing time

Waterpik WF-04 Sidekick Review

Waterpik Sidekick Water Flosser - Header Image

Our Verdict

The Sidekick from Waterpik is an absolutely genius piece of kit, I like it a lot!

It is a balance of power and features whilst remaining portable.

The kicker is the price. It is not a cheap product and I understand why.

For those always on the go, that want the conveniences that come with a corded water flosser, the Sidekick has you covered.

Pros

  • Compact & travel friendly
  • Stylish design
  • Good size tank considering size of unit
  • Choose between 5 pressure settings

Cons

  • Expensive – paying a premium for unique offering
  • No ability to rotate the tips 360 degrees

Waterpik Professional Whitening Water Flosser Review

Waterpik Whitening Water Flosser Review - Header Image

Our Verdict

This is a very capable and well featured water flosser.

For those who struggle with traditional interdental cleaning, tools like this can make your life easier, and improve your oral health.

The so-called whitening element is a bit something and nothing and won’t have benefits for everyone. It is also a fairly expensive option.

Overall you are better off buying the Waterpik Aquarius WP-660.

Pros

  • Good sized water reservoir
  • Choose between 10 different pressure settings
  • Various tips included for individual specific needs
  • On/off switch on handle
  • Whitening tablets offer a nice taste to enhance the experience
  • Relatively quiet
