It lacks some textured grip on the handle and the nozzle isn\u2019t the easiest to rotate, but this is more than made up for by the excellent cleaning performance and other features it offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The built-in pacer and large 250ml water tank are useful, but the costly replacement nozzles are inexcusable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall the Cordless Power Flosser 3000 is an excellent water flosser and takes the challenge to market leader Waterpik.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

The replacement nozzles are ridiculously expensive<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Cordless 3000 has an RRP of \u00a3119.99, which is among the highest I\u2019ve come across for a cordless water flosser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thankfully, the average selling price is about \u00a385. This is in direct competition with our top-rated cordless water flosser, the Waterpik Cordless Advanced<\/a>, which averages about \u00a390. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sonicare\u2019s replacement nozzles are far more expensive, though. They cost \u00a313 each, which is almost 3 times the price of Waterpik equivalents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 3 years, using the F1 tip with the Cordless 3000 will cost in the region of \u00a3150.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the Cordless Advanced for 3 years costs \u00a340 less.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of features and performance, the Cordless 3000 and the Cordless Advanced are comparable, with notable pros and cons to each. Yet I struggle to find justification for such a price difference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unless there is a particular feature on the Sonicare Cordless 3000 that stands out for you, I would save the \u00a340 and go for the Waterpik Cordless Advanced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You do have the option to use a nozzle for longer than advised, thus reducing the cost, but ensure it is cleaned regularly. That being said, this wouldn\u2019t be necessary if Philips priced nozzles more sensibly.<\/p>\n\n\n

It\u2019s bulky and not the most grippy, but it\u2019s lighter than the competition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you haven\u2019t handled a water flosser before, you might be somewhat surprised by the size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite cordless models being the more travel-friendly option, they are a bit bulky, due to the very nature of what they are. If you want to travel light, you probably won\u2019t be including the Power Flosser 3000 in your bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An all-plastic construction, the 3000 is wider at the base, thinning towards the top of the unit. This makes it easier to hold, albeit there is a lack of textured surfaces to assist in getting a secure grip. Thankfully you don\u2019t feel like you have a cramped hold of the device like you do on the Waterpik Cordless Select<\/a>, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flosser has a modern look with easy to use control buttons<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Comparably sized to other cordless models, it is noticeably lighter than the likes of the Waterpik Advanced, by some 70 grams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The power button has a less pronounced concave design compared to the intensity and mode buttons. All of them can be fairly easily detected by the fingertip and all give some feedback when pressed, if not that satisfying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aesthetically there is a lot of similarity with Sonicare toothbrushes, which I like. The 3000 has a clean and minimal look. It\u2019s available in black or white and has a matte finish \u2014 there are no gloss plastics like with other models. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cordless Power Flosser 3000 does produce up to 77 decibels of sound when in use.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Longer flossing times with the 250ml water reservoir<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

250ml\/8.4oz is the capacity of the reservoir on this flosser. This is a little higher than average, which allows for longer flossing times of 60+ seconds, compared to the 30-45 of most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
