How can I get my Colgate electric toothbrush serviced in the UK?
Colgate electric toothbrushes are covered by a 2 year warranty as standard.

When connected to a staff member you can explain the fault and you will be advised accordingly.
It is preferable to have keep your original receipt/proof of purchase and have that to hand.
Normally, if the brush is confirmed as faulty and needing repair you will be sent a prepaid label and the product would be replaced or refunded depending on the case.
For In Warranty Service: For the quickest resolution call Colgate Consumer Affairs Team on: 00800 321 321 32 who will after taking a few details issue a pre-paid returns label which can be used to return the brush for repair or refund.
For Out of Warranty Service: No service support exists. If the brush stops working outside of this warranty period it cannot be repaired, even at a charge. You will need to safely dispose of it and purchase a new toothbrush.
How long will the process take?
A set time frame is not provided but the intention is to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. In most cases the returns label will be issued immediately and once received back, a conclusion be that repair or refund will be achieved within a few working days.
How long is the Colgate warranty?
The standard warranty is 2 years from the date of purchase.
The guarantee commences from the date of purchase. Buy the brush on 1st February 2020, the warranty will be valid until 31st January 2022.
Is there an extended warranty option?
No, Colgate do not offer an extended warranty option.
What is covered in the Colgate warranty?
The warranty starts on the day of purchase and runs for 2 years.
If your Colgate ProClinical electric toothbrush product is defective during the warranty period, Colgate-Palmolive will repair or replace it free of charge.
Examples of what the warranty will cover, but not limited to are:
- The brush no longer charging or holding charge
- The battery life lasting less than the advertised time

- The brush intermittently stops working
- The brush speeds up and slows down for no reason
The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage such as scratches, or damage caused by:
- Normal wear and tear

- The product being tampered with

Is the warranty and repair process free?
If the fault with your electric toothbrush falls under the terms of the warranty and is within its warranty period, Colgate will, for free of charge, repair any defects or refund you the cost of the toothbrush.
If the brush is outside of warranty, you will have to replace the brush by purchasing a new one.
Where do I need to send it?
The address to return it to will be provided on the pre-paid label that will be generated by Colgate when you log the fault with them.
Will they collect the toothbrush?
No. Generally speaking (process always subject to change), you will need to take the package to the post office, hand it over and ask for proof of delivery. The pre-paid label means there is no charge for you to send it.
How long will I be without a toothbrush?
As a general rule, the service centre aim to repair or replace the toothbrush within just a few days of receipt.
The exact period of time you will be without an electric toothbrush will vary depending on the circumstances, time of year and shipping methods used.
Please take into consideration the postage time to and from the service centre.
Will they not just replace the toothbrush?
Colgate tend to either repair or offer a refund. This refund would cover the initial purchase price and allow you to buy a new brush should yours fail.
They may replace, but normally this is not the case.
Do I need my receipt?
Retaining your receipt will be advantageous when it comes to booking your toothbrush in for any warranty repair, so it is worth keeping hold of.
However, it is not essential and often repairs will be carried out without providing this, but repairs required without proof of purchase are subject to inspection to confirm the age of the brush and whether it is within warranty. My electric toothbrush is outside of the warranty period can I get it repaired?
No. Sadly there are no provisions for this and you will have to simply dispose of the faulty brush and purchase a new one.

Is the battery in my Colgate electric toothbrush handle replaceable?
The battery inside is not really designed to be replaceable. The handle within which the battery is contained is sealed and there is no simple process to remove or replace this.
Trying to do so will invalidate your warranty and likely make the brush unusable.
