Yes, Oral-B does make water flossers.
However, their range is limited and the models they do make are not sold in Canada.
If you want a water flosser, I strongly encourage you to take a look at our best water flosser post. This will give you a list of tried and tested options that are available to purchase.
Should you want to know more about the Oral-B water flosser range then read on.

What water flossers does Oral-B make?
At the time of writing, to my knowledge, Oral-B is currently manufacturing 5 different water flossers. There are:
- Aquacare 4
- Aquacare 6 Pro-Expert
- OxyJet MD20
- Oral-B Health Center (Pro 2000 + OxyJet Oral Irrigator)
- Oral-B Health Center (Smart 5000 + OxyJet Oral Irrigator)
The Aquacare 4 and 6 are cordless water flossers.
What this means is that they have a water tank and rechargeable battery built-in. You do not have to be connected to a physical power source to use it.
The MD20 and Oral-B Health Center options are countertop units that need to be connected to power to function.
The OxyJet MD20 is a traditional water flosser that most of us picture.

The Health Center versions as the same thing, but they have an electric toothbrush provided in the box too. Think of these as a bundle and a complete solution for your oral health.
The configuration of the Health Center is such that the charging stand for the toothbrush is built-into the whole unit, rather than being separate. This means that both the water flosser handle and the toothbrush dock to the health center.
None of these are currently available in Canada.
At present these models are sold in other parts of the world, most notably the UK, central Europe and Australia.
The Aquacare 4 and 6 are the newest models, first introduced in 2019, whilst the other OxyJet models have been around for quite some time. That said, whilst the OxyJet water flosser element has been around for a while, the health center bundles do contain newer style toothbrushes.
In the past, Oral-B has made and sold models within Canada.
The names and part numbers of these include:
- AdvancePower WaterJet
- Models: MD3, MD30, MD31, OC3, OC30, OC31, OC301
- Type: 4803
- OxyJet 3D Center (water flosser and toothbrush combo like the health center)
- Models: MD15, OC15.525, OC15.545
- Type: 4715
- Plak Control Center (water flosser and toothbrush combo like the health center)
- Model: MD5000, MD5000S, OC5025, OC5025S, OC5525 / S, OC5545
- Type: 4723
- Plak Control Ultra Center (water flosser and toothbrush combo like the health center)
- Model: MD9000, OC9025, OC9525, OC9545
- Type: 4714
- Professional Care 7500/7900 Center, Professional Care 7500 OxyJet, Professional Care 8000/8500 OxyJet, Professional Care 8000/8500/8900 Center (water flosser and toothbrush combo like the health center)
- Model: OC17, MD17, OC18, MD18, OC19, MD19
- Type: 3719
All of the current models use the OxyJet nozzle. This is a proprietary product, working only with Oral-B made irrigators.
The nozzle fits to the top of the Aquacare cordless units or to the handle on the OxyJet countertop units. It allows the water to flow from the handle of the irrigators and pushes the water out through the tip.
A grey slider switch just under the head of the nozzle allows the jet of water exiting to be changed from either a continuous and more powerful jet of water or a softer, rotational flow of water.

Truth be told, whilst many of Oral-B’s products are very good, the OxyJet is a bit of an exception. Don’t get me wrong, it does work. But, performance, quality and reliability are not great.
You may be able to cut Oral-B some slack because the OxyJet design is quite old now, but the newer cordless Aquacare models really are not that much better. They look nice and on paper sound ok, but in practice, they just don’t function as well as Waterpik or many of the other ‘cheap’ brands that you find online.
Where can I buy an Oral-B water flosser?
If you really want to buy an Oral-B water flosser over and above our recommendations in the best water flosser article, then you are more than likely going to need to import one from overseas.
You might be lucky to find one on eBay. It may be a used product, or if new, it is likely going to be shipping from Europe.
You stand the best chance of sourcing the MD20 variant of the OxyJet with Canada. The Aquacare series has not been sold here at all to date and the Health Center versions mentioned come with brushes not sold in Canada.
If you are after the OxyJet nozzles, you can buy those within, they are for sale on Amazon.
When will they be available?
This is a question that I can’t give a definitive answer to.
Myself or the team here at Electric Teeth are not affiliated with Oral-B and have no insider information on future availability.
As and when Oral-B does, we will update this post for you and others to see.
Why are they not sold within Canada?
To be honest it is surprising that they don’t already sell at least 1 product here. They would gain sales.
There is a large market and I can see the Oral-B brand being well accepted as a competitor to Waterpik.
However, I suspect much of it comes down to just how well received Waterpik is here in Canada.
More often than not, Waterpik is the name used to describe a water flosser, like Coca-Cola is for the drink Cola. Trying to compete with that is difficult.

They are many people who use and want a water flosser, but within the US and Canada, Waterpik is the market leader by quite some way. In fact, Waterpik is really the global leader in water flossers.
As a US company, they have a very good understanding of the market and offer quite a few different models with different features and price points.
Whilst Oral-B’s irrigators do a similar job, their range is nowhere near as comprehensive and the prices are not as competitive.
Therefore, it is likely that they have made the commercial decision, at this time at least not to try and compete, focusing more on their other oral care products like electric toothbrushes, floss and toothpaste.
Oral-B water flosser reviews
Although not available within Canada, I have handled and reviewed Oral-B’s irrigators for other markets.
To give you an idea of what my thoughts are on them, I include the verdicts I came to in those hands-on reviews, along with the main pros and cons..
Unless the products were changed for Canada, then my opinions would likely remain the same.
OxyJet
The OxyJet does what it is supposed to, it puts water out at an adjustable pressure to rinse away bacteria, plaque and food debris from in between the teeth and along the gumline.
Sadly though it has been beaten by the competition who offer more features, better quality and reliability for a lesser price.
Pros
- Easier & less hassle than regular floss
- Various pressure settings
- Wall mountable
Cons
- A large unit because of what it is.
- Quite messy until you are well practised.
- Quality is ok, but not brilliant
Aquacare 4
The Aquacare 4 just about does the job.
It is not the best example of a cordless water flosser.
I have used equivalent products from lesser-known brands that have delivered a better overall experience.
The build quality is questionable.
The design and button placement isn’t ideal.
The power of the water jet isn’t the most intense and the number of advertised modes is a bit misleading.
I expected better from a brand leader like Oral-B.
Pros
- Cordless
- Rechargeable
- Different water streams
Cons
- Build quality
- Nozzle design and rotation
- Button placement
- Modes/intensity settings
- No travel case
- Chunky charging stand
- Price (better value options exist)
Aquacare 6 Pro Expert
The Aquacare 6 Pro Expert ticks the basic boxes required for being a cordless water flosser.
However, whilst it does the job, it is far from the best option available today and I don’t believe really represents what Oral-B is capable of producing.
The number of modes is a bit misleading and the overall design and quality isn’t perfect.
It is expensive compared to the competition. Alternatives offer better value.
Pros
- Cordless
- Rechargeable
- Different water streams
Cons
- Build quality
- Nozzle design and rotation
- Button placement
- Modes/intensity settings
- No travel case
- Chunky charging stand
- Price (better value options exist)
Conclusion
Despite being a popular brand and already making water flossers, Oral-B does not currently have any for sale through typical retailers here in Canada.
It is a shame, but perhaps not all that surprising, when in reality, the products the competition offer are better in performance and price.
