Our Verdict

Bruush Review 1

Brüush is a sonic toothbrush that I would use, without issue on a daily basis.

It cleans the teeth well, looks, and feels good in the hand, and has a decent battery life.

Including a travel case in the box, along with 3 brush heads is a nice touch and adds to the value on offer.

I don’t quite align with the logic of replacing a brush head every 2 months as is the case with the subscription plan.  It isn’t a complete dealbreaker though.

There is little wrong with Brüush, but there isn’t anything that makes it stand out as an absolute must buy.

Pros

  • Design & colour options
  • Built-in timer & pacer
  • Automatic power off
  • 6 cleaning modes
  • Battery life
  • Magnetic charger
  • Subscription

Cons

  • No pressure sensor
  • Subscription

Burst Oral Care vs Sonicare & Oral-B

Burst vs sonicare & oral-b header image

Introduction

If you ask someone to name a brand of electric toothbrush, there is a good chance they are going to mention Sonicare or Oral-B.

As leaders within the market of electric toothbrushes, this is no surprise.

Backed by the large multinational companies that are Philips and Procter & Gamble (parent company of Braun) these brands can afford shelf space in grocery stores as well as having the funds to pay for TV and other national advertising campaigns that aid their growth and market share.

Both companies produce excellent toothbrushes, but there is an emerging group of new electric toothbrushes from smaller, more dynamic and innovative companies.

Burst is one of the socially active brands and has gained a lot of media attention.

A US company, Burst are trying to bring a fresh approach to oral healthcare.

The big questions are though, does Burst deserve your money and can it compare with these big brands?

In this article, I will be making a comparison between Burst, Philips Sonicare and Braun Oral-B, to help you understand which brand you should ultimately opt for.

Quip Toothbrush Review

Our Verdict

The main reason to choose Quip instead of a regular electric toothbrush is for the subscription option, or the travel benefits.

However, as a seasoned electric toothbrush user, the motor feels weak, and the clean no better that a manual brush and certainly not as invigorating as deep cleaning as other electric brushes I have used.

We have outlined some alternatives worth considering in the sections below

Pros

  • Slim and lightweight
  • 1 cleaning mode
  • Built-in timer
  • Removable batteries
  • Travel case double up as a wall mount
  • Subscription service
  • American Dental Association approved

Cons

  • Cleaning experience feels weak in comparison other brushes
  • No battery status/feedback
  • No pressure sensor
